This semester, Aiko had the privilege of performing as a guest act at Wellesley Japan Club’s annual Yuki Matsuri! We were so glad to have Japan Club host us at such a fun and exciting event–which ended up bringing over 600 people to Tishman Commons! Thank you to everyone who helped support Aiko and Japan Club at this year’s event. We had so much fun playing Ryujin Daiko and Kenka Yatai for such a big crowd! We hope to be back again at next year’s Yuki Matsuri!
A few members of Aiko also had the amazing opportunity to participate in this year’s East Coast Taiko Conference (ECTC). We were able to meet so many other collegiate groups, as well as so many influential people in the taiko community. Not only did we learn so much, but we also made so many new friends and connections. We were so honored to be able to participate in such a wonderful event, and we hope to come to next year’s ECTC to jam out more with the greater taiko community!
